Athen Rye (hard rock, AOR)

During it’s 7-year life Athen Rye performed all original songs written by Keith Thompson and released two CD’s “Nature of the Game” in 1992 and “Larry Slept In” in 1996. Along the way they saw much success and won a number of awards including Best Band and Best song in the 1995 CKGL Radio Country Contest and taking home honors at the Cambridge fair in 1997. Athen Rye charted on radio in 1992 with “Simple Love” at # 17 on the Canadian top 40. Keith Thompson is a singer, songwriter born in Belfast Ireland who now calls Guelph, Ontario his home.
