Hailing from the 'Left Coast' of Canada, Poppa Dawg (Rick Halisheff) from Kelowna, BC has toured extensively throughout Western and Northern Canada with stints in La Paz, Mexico at The City of Peace Blues Festival and most recently, in 2013 as a participant at the 29th International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Sharing the stage as a side man with such artists as Sonny Rhodes, Kenny ‘Blues Boss’ Wayne and Harpdog Brown and as an opener for many years has been Poppa Dawg’s classroom and the education has not been lost on him as he presents the blues with a unique, tongue-in-cheek view and a deep and respectful appreciation of the music. - Poppa Dawg
