Strange Breed

Based in Vancouver, Strange Breed has been slowly taking over their local music scene one show at a time. Sounding like a 90’s riot grrrl fan’s feminist dream with an unexpected modern rock twist, the fierce 4-piece has been described as a “Grittier B52’s” or what a collaboration between Veruca Salt, Paramore, Bikini Kill and Hole would sound like. Nicolle Dupas (Vocals/Guitar), Terra Chaplin (Lead Guitar), Megan Bell (Drums), and Ally Von Wallis (Bass) keep listeners on the tips of their toes. The rockers made the Top 100 Finalists in CBC’s 2019 Searchlight Competition and were listed as “Producer’s Pick”. Their single “Sharks” was selected as !earshot reporter CJSF’s #1 Track of 2018.
