Brave Belt (country rock)

Brave Belt was a rock / country-rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba founded by Randy Bachman, active 1971-1972, becoming Bachman-Turner Overdrive in 1973. Founded in 1971 by Randy Bachman with his former Guess Who bandmate Chad Allen and Randy's brother Rob Bachman on drums. Fred Turner joined on bass & vocals later that year, after the first album. Allen left in 1972, after the second album, and third Bachman brother Tim Bachman joined on guitar. in 1973 this lineup released their first album as Bachman-Turner Overdrive. The eponymous first Bachman–Turner Overdrive album is essentially Brave Belt III, the album that was rejected by Reprise Records.
